Objectives
This four years BS MLT program will acquaint the students with the latest development in the field of Medical Laboratory Technology and its related academics and applied aspects. The program aims to prepare the students to effectively assist the senior health professionals in the delivery of quality health services from primary to the tertiary leave. This program Imparts quality technical knowledge with modern techniques enabling them to serve the nation with recognized dignified social and professional status into the health care services. It will improve their capacity, capability and responsibilities to execute their professional duties. MLT degree and training will improve the efficiency of paramedical staff with latest technical knowledge and skills.
Merit list policy:
The merit list will be prepared on the basis of following: F.Sc 70% + Entry Test 30%
Outcomes
After completion of the course, the skilled graduates will perform their duties in the medical laboratories professionally and efficiently. They will be able;
- To perform the Different Biochemical reactions involved in the cell functions.
- To know the Diagnostic features of common bacterial and fungal infections.
- To understand the Role of enzymes in human physiology and growth.
- To learn the Pathological processes and their mechanism of actions.
- To know the Basic concepts and skills of histopathology.
- To operate Hematological techniques.
- F.Sc (Pre-Medical / MLT) or A-Level with equivalence certificate from IBCC, Islamabad with at least 45% marks.
- Candidates with Diploma in relevant field with at least 45% marks in annual system or 2.00 CGPA on the scale of 4.00 in semester system dully registered by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Medical Faculty with equivalency certificate from IBCC Islamabad are eligible to apply.
- Candidates holding Associate Degree in relevant discipline with at least 2.00 CGPA on the scale of 4.00 from any recognized university/ institution will join from the 5th semester of their degree program. Minimum duration of their degree shall be 2 years.

Free Education Program from Workers Welfare Fund for industrial workers and their children.
20% Concession in Tuition Fee on Kinship basis.
20% Concession in Tuition Fee for all Female Students.
50% Concession in Admission fee and 20% Concession in Tuition fee in all programs for SUIT Graduates.
50% Concession in Tuition Fee for Children of Shuhada of Armed Forces / Police.
15% Concession in tuition Fee for Armed Forces / Police Personnel/Government School & College Teachers & their Children.
10% Concession in Tuition Fee for erstwhile FATA Agencies Domicile Holders.
Note:
- The scholarships will be subjected to in-time fee submission as per University Policy.
- Total scholarships will not exceed 50% of the tuition fee.
